Watch Ronnie James Dio Hologram Make U.S. Debut

As featured in Rollingstone, Loudwire, Blabbermouth, Pollstar (and more seeming to come every minute!), the Ronnie James Dio hologram made it’s U.S. debut with the official DIO band. The performance opened the annual Pollstar awards, giving concert touring industry execs in attendance just a glimpse of the show that will hit theaters and festivals around the world starting later this year. Fog filled the stage. The music was loud. Two gargoyles appeared perched atop flashing streetlights. It was another amazing Ronnie James Dio performance for the history books.

Commenting on the performance, Eyellusion CEO Jeff Pezzuti said:

“We were thrilled to give this audience just a taste of the experience that we will start to tour globally later this year. This ‘We Rock’ performance is now being retired and production is underway on a full show. We are pulling out all the stops to create a live experience that is unlike anything Ronnie’s fans have seen before.”

The day before the performance, as part of the Pollstar Live! conference program, Pezzuti led an Eyellusion-organized panel of music industry veterans in a discussion about the touring hologram opportunity. The session featured Wendy Dio, digital effects pioneer Scott Ross, McGhee Entertainment senior vice president Mark Stroman, Rhino Entertainment president Mark Pinkus, TKO president Andrew Goodfriend, and Singerman Entertainment owner Todd Singerman.

More details on the late 2017 tour to be announced soon. In the meantime, check out the clip from last night’s performance!
